Volunteer Categories
AYSL is an all volunteer organization. Without volunteers, AYSL would cease to exist.
We always need parents to volunteer to coach, serve as team parent, or help with field preparation.
Team parents; set and communicate the snack schedule as well as assisting the coach in notifiying the team of any changes in practice or game schedules. Team parents can also help recruit parents for keeping the fields marked during the season.
Field Preparation; Each season we must map out and line the fields for the first time. This is a huge job, and the more help we get, the faster the job gets done!
Coaches can be parents or grandparents also receive a waiver for their first child's registration fees.
Note: All coaches are required to agree to criminal background screening as mandated by the Virginia YSA KidSafe program KidSafe Disclosure Statement and Release Form
AYSL program provide an enjoyable and safe learning environment for children to build healthy spirits, minds and bodies. I hereby agree to allow a staff member of the AYSL to administer a background check on me, as dictated by VYSA regulations. I understand that I will not be granted a position if the background check shows a history of crimes against people or a pattern of inappropriate behavior. I also understand that the information obtained will be kept confidential and is only for AYSL use.
For KidSafe, we do not need Drivers License numbers, but we need name, address, birthday, and all digits of the ssn.
